Sicily is the biggest island in the Mediteraanean sea and for this reason visitors will have to choose a specific area to visit. It is impossible to see it all in just a few days. For those interested in the historical side of Sicily, Catania could be an interesting starting point due to its vicinity with Mount Etna, the presence of the international airport of Fontanarossa – Catania and the possibility to find easily a hotel in catania.

Going north of Catania , Taormina represents another must see city. Breathtaking views of Etna and Monte Tauro, sensational beaches. It is a very visited destination therefore there is a very ample choice in terms of hotels and B&Bs. Alternatively Trapani or Palermo international airports could be the starting point to visit the unmissable Selinunte and Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples; for the sea passionate the Egadi Islands, just off Trapani coast, are a paradise.
